Occupation: Teacher Marital Status: Divorced No. of Children: 1 From Stella: The AFS experience at Arroyo High School in 1966/67 impacted my life in so many ways that I decided to make this country my home. At this time, I live in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania with my only son Joseph. Joseph is twenty two and is attending the School of Engineering at Penn State University. He will graduate in December 2007. Ten years ago, I became an ESL Specialist and a Spanish teacher in the state of Pennsylvania. Currently, I teach English as a Second Language and ESL Social Studies to 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. After the initial connection with Stan Ediington, I spent some time visiting the arroyo67 website. The visit became a very emotional one. The names, the faces of 1967, the faces of today, and the many memories that I had kept in my heart, all became so vivid. I could see us walking through the halls, attending classes, chatting, laughing, attending ballgames and functions. We were/are a very special group. God has granted me many blessing through the years, my son, my education, and the opportunity to have been a part of all of you. Thank you so much. It will be so special to see you again.

One of my most thrilling moments was being there to greet him upon his return from a one year tour in Iraq. I am a volunteer usher at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Just back from a month in the Andes and learned that I'm going to miss another reunion. Hope you all have a great time Saturday. Just to let you catch up on my goings on. Forty years is a long time - wow - and they are still playing our music. I spent the first 10 years at various odd jobs around the bay area, finally graduating from UC Santa Cruz in 1974 and then found a job in Washington DC where I met my partner of the past 30 years. We have 2 boys and in the last two months, a grandson. Anne is French so we were married in a neutral country (Holland) and have been traveling ever since. As a specialist in rural and agricultural development, I have lived and worked in Asia, Africa and Latin America. After five years in Morocco our boys became fully bi-lingual before moving back the US, where the two of us now reside in the Appalachian Mountains. Over the past decade I have been computing from Virginia to research and development projects we manage in Senegal and Mali in West Africa and Urkaine and Albania in Eastern Europe. Enjoy this reunion and I'll try to make it for the fiftieth.

supervisor Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 5 From Christine A.:
After reading through the entries, I have been inspired to send an update of my life at "40". As I told my old buddy "Leenie" (Wilson), "How can we have a 40 yr. reunion, when we are barely 40 ourselves?!"
Leenie & I met our 1st husbands during the Vietnam War as junior volunteers at the Oakland USO, where we had 'a guy on every ship'. I began my 1st job at the Oakland Army Terminal after taking the civil service test in my Arroyo typing class. From there I worked for a loan co, service center manager for a home study school, as a coffee taster (QC), a 'go go dancer at the "Foxy Lady', a full (& partial) service waitress, toy party demonstrater, printing co. bookkeeper & production manager and finally back to State government in Oregon after meeting hubby 2 -- 'boy toy' Alan, 4 years my junior. Have also served on 2 Boards of Directors (Oregon Tradeswomen Inc. and VP of statewide Oregon Public Employees Union), as a registered lobbyist in Salem & DC, Women's Council chair, Chief steward, Bargaining delegate and public speaker. Currently, as 1st female, I have worked in all 36 Oregon counties. I supervise 10 male field inspectors, run state programs for RRX scales, Vapor Meters, 70+ Farm Markets and conduct specialized belt & mass flow meter tests. 24 years in Feb. 08 -- time to retire!!
On 7/27/07, Alan and I will celebrate our 27th Anniversary. Our 1st date was in Alviso, CA ! This February 07, we became great grand parents for the 1st time. Billy IV was born in Bloomfield, New Mexico, where 2 of our 10 grandchildren live (Billy III 18, Robert 16). 4 more (Ezra 7, Mia 4, Avi 2 & Elihu 6 mths) by step son Jesse & wife Cassidy in Dolores, CO and 4 here in Oregon for grandma to spoil. My 3 sons, Billy (Darcy, when speaking), Brelynn 11 & Braden 9), Greg (& Andrea, Faye 17 & Greg II 12) & Neal (& Cheri) all live here in Oregon within 25 miles of us. Billy & Neal have their own delivery & moving businesses and earn more than me! Greg sets up shows for convention and expo centers and has been requested for work in NYC on a number of occasions. Beautiful single daughter, Jennifer, lives in sunny San Diego and travels as a regional buyer for Nordstrom -- another one who out earns me!
Commercial irrigator, Alan, border collie, Leah and I live on our country acre with small house, shop and greenhouse, 1/2 way between Portland (HI OZ!) and Salem in the newly formed 'hamlet' of Mulino. Everything is "FINE-O IN MULINO!" 20 yr. Anniversary we cruised Hawaii, 25th Alaska (and 30th S. Pacific or Carribean). I am dragging my former Winterland 60's wild child Alan (he's an old fart now), to the reunion with me. LET's PARTY!!
